Hi! We are Studio Carbon. The multi-disciplinary design studio that is realising better futures through design. Headquartered in India, we also have a base in The Netherlands, and are making huge international waves in the rest of Europe, USA and Africa. We work across a wide range of design disciplines, such as Industrial Design, Communication Design, UI/UX Design, Systems Design and Education Design, making us a powerhouse organisation for design-led change in the world.

There are many things that are different about us. Studio Carbon was started by 9 visionary designers, with a common dream and vision. In a matter of just 5 years, we went on to win 9 national and 3 international awards. We are also designing for major space agencies such as ESA, while also making sustainable products with dung! This goes to show how we have worked along a wide range of over 60 different sectors, each with its own unique challenges and complexities. But these things don’t make us unique, but are rather the consequences.
What makes us truly unique is our approach and ideology towards design, and our vision to show what it can do. “Evolutionary Design” as we call it, is our ever changing process of designing everything from a systemic lens, with a fearless mindset and a future-driven perspective. We have a strong culture of freedom and curiosity, which helps this approach thrive. We have done wonders with it so far, and can’t wait to do more!

We started Studio Carbon in 2018, as a medium for expressing our design philosophy. Since then, we have come a long way. From a team of 9 multi-tasking co-founders into a team of 40+ “carbons”, we have grown a lot! We got the opportunity to work with a diverse set of clients, many of whom kept coming back for more projects. In their success, we found ours.
We have built our expertise in various sectors and disciplines of design with over 140 national and international projects. Along with client projects, we have actively invested in in-house ideas in the form of carbon labs, 2 of which are now successful ventures in their own right.
